Day 1 | Arrival to Ethiopia

After landing, your personal Away to Africa driver will accompany you to your lodging where you will take a day to relax and enjoy a traditional Ethiopian meal.

Day 4 | Roof Of Africa

Today in Lalibela, we will hike to the Roof of Africa and spend time overlooking the serene mountainous views of Ethiopia.

Day 5 | Castles of Gondor

An early morning departure will lead you to to the former capital of Ethiopia and ‘Camelot’ of Africa, Gondar, where you will explore mysterious castles which date back to the early to mid 1600’s.

Day 6 | Lake Tana & Monastery of Bahir Dar

In Bahir Dar we will take a boat tripon Lake Tana to visit the island monastery of Zege Peninsula and Ura Kidane Mehret.Afterwards, feel the mist of the Blue Nile Falls on the Blue Nile River.

Day 7 | History of Addis

Return to Addis and travel to Haile Selassie Cathedral, National Museum of Ethiopia, Emperor Menelik and Empress Taitu Museum and Shopping Center at Shiromeda

Day 8 | Shashamane

Strawberry Fields and cows align the roadway as we travel into Shashamane to learn more of its history and afterwards relax at the hot springs of Wondo Genet.

All American, Canadian and British passport holders who possess a valid, up to date Passport which does not expire within the six (6) months from date of travel, can obtain a visa on arrival in Ethiopia.

All Jamaican passport holders who possess a valid, up to date Passport which does not expire within the six (6) months from date of travel, must obtain a Visa prior to departure for Ethiopia.

Required Vaccinations: Yellow Fever Vaccination is required.
